Having described the US Ambassador to England, Robert Tuttle as a ‘car salesman’ and a ‘chiselling little crook’, London’s Mayor is looking at ways to chase the outstanding £400,000 owed to his office for unpaid congestion charge fees.

24 hour parking restrictions…

Parking in London’s west end is set to get tougher as Westminster Council has brought in 24 hour parking controls in the busy Hyde Park/ Edgware Road/ Marble Arch area. In a bid to free up parking bays for residents, the restrictions are aimed at taking party goers off the street and into neighbouring car parks.

Council start naming and shaming…

In a bid to prevent serial parking offenders, Westminster City Council has adopted a policy of “naming and shaming” its top ten parking wrongdoers. The top of the list is a company van that has accumulated a total of 250 unpaid unpaid penalty charge notices (PCNs). (more…)
