A Commuter’s Solution To Long Term Parking In London

The Retail Price Index (RPI) reported by the Office of National Statistics for December 2009 showed the highest increase between any two consecutive months since 1979.

A major contributory factor was transport, with hikes in fuel prices.

This was reported before the reversion of VAT duty back up to 17.5%, which took place in January, which will undoubtedly influence the RPI for January.

In any event, long term parking in London will continue to be a problem with few expecting anything less than hikes in their daily London parking fees.

These are already difficult times with unprecedented job losses already having been reported in the past 12-18 months.

As the country starts to recover, jobs will hopefully start to be created, and in some areas of the country they are already seeing reductions in the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s allowance.

London, being the most populated city in the UK, will undoubtedly start to see changes in the employment status of their residents and, as the employment situation recovers, pressure on finding suitable long term parking in London will become even more intense.

The recent published announcements of price hikes by many of the public transport travel operators is going to do little other than convince commuters that their own car may well be the best solution.

At 24 7 Parking, we are able to source all of your long term parking in central London and provide you with pre-booked long term parking in Marble Arch or cheap parking in Mayfair in no time at all.
